Its history can be found in Miscellaneous Notes from 1717 as follows - ”In the Shuishalian neishan, there are sufficient tea leaves available. They have special flavors and can relieve summer heat. However, the steep mountain is very dangerous, and the Han Chinese are afraid of Taiwanese aborigines. As a result, they are too scared to enter the mountain and collect the tea leaves.”
